Best known for her beautiful smile and her southern hospitality, Leading Lady Betty Mathis was born in Atkinson County to the parents of Robert and Marian Williams. She was educated in the Atkinson County School System.  Currently she is employed with the Valdosta City Schools.  She is a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend.  

Lady Mathis is the epitome of a God-fearing woman.  She prays fervently, and she is always willing to serve others just as Jesus did.  She is an anointed woman of God who is instrumental in assisting her husband to take the ministry of Crossing Jordan to another dimension.
